- What is the NCZ award and certification programme?
It is a structured, four-level programme that helps a business measure its full carbon footprint, reduce it, and then demonstrate the result through independently verified certification. You move from measurement to a recognised award or certification, with certificates and media packs to evidence each stage.
- What are the NCZ certification levels?
There are four progressive levels: Blue and Silver are awards, and Gold and Platinum are certifications. Each level builds on the one below - Gold requires the Silver criteria to be met, and Platinum the Gold criteria - so the programme is a step-by-step journey rather than a single pass/fail badge.
- How much does NCZ certification cost?
The programme’s priced tiers are Silver Award - £1,500 per year, Gold Certification - £4,500 per year, and Platinum Certification - £7,500 per year. Each is an annual fee that covers the measurement platform, reporting and the independent verification behind that level.
- How does the NCZ certification process work?
Four stages. Scope - the Customer Success team measures your scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions on the NCZ carbon management platform. Capture - the platform records your data and calculates a baseline footprint across your organisation, operations and supply chain. Report - you receive a report detailing your emissions with targeted reduction measures and year-on-year tracking. Certification - as you progress you receive certificates and media packs to demonstrate your achievement.
- What is the difference between an NCZ award and an NCZ certification?
It is the level reached. The entry levels, Blue and Silver, are awards; the higher levels, Gold and Platinum, are certifications. Both sit within the same programme and rest on the same measured carbon data - certification denotes the more advanced stages of the journey.
