Neutral Carbon Zone Achieves Carbon-Conscious Website Accreditation

We’re proud to share that Neutral Carbon Zone’s website has been officially accredited as Carbon-Conscious by the Eco-Friendly Web Alliance (EFWA).

At NCZ, sustainability isn’t just what we talk about - it’s what we live and embed into every part of our business, including our digital footprint. This accreditation recognises our commitment to digital sustainability: using green energy to power our site, reducing carbon emissions per page view, and taking full accountability for our annual website emissions.

Where emissions can’t be avoided, we commit to insetting or, only when necessary, use high-integrity offsetting through Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard projects. Our website undergoes regular independent audits to ensure we maintain - and raise - the bar on performance and responsibility.

The environmental cost of the internet is rising fast, responsible for around 3.7% of global emissions, on par with the aviation industry. As part of EFWA’s growing global movement for 1 million carbon-conscious websites by 2030, we’re proud to be part of shaping a more sustainable digital future.

We believe your online presence should reflect your climate values. Ours now does.

About Eco-Friendly Web Alliance (EFWA):

EFWA is an award-winning social enterprise committed to reducing the internet’s environmental impact. Their rigorous accreditation process is backed by a scientific advisory board and aims to transform websites into low-carbon, high-performance digital assets that align with climate action goals.
